Northern Benefits adheres to HIPAA regulations closely and therefore value privacy and security very much. We have taken measures to accommodate that by using "WorkSpace" which is part of our new software that allows us to send and receive secure messages and documents with our clients. Unlike email, both parties can retain an organized trail of the information exchanged, thus establishing a new, highly efficient workflow.

In the Resource section of this software clients are able to research Benefits Essentials, a unique resource that explains and simplifies complicated information about a host of key benefits and HR areas. They may also learn more about HIPAA from the HIPAA Privacy Manual for Employers, developed by HIPAA Solutions RX. This gives them unlimited, free access to an online reference that covers the extensive world of the HIPAA Privacy Rule. Clients will also find other resources, such as recent and proposed regulations, OnlineBenefits' Webzine and more. With these tools, clients can conduct on-demand research on a world of benefit issues.

The on line benefit administration section called Benergy Enhanced allows employers to communicate with their employees by updating information in real-time - making it incredibly simple to ensure consistency, timeliness and accuracy company-wide. For a business that has more than one location this is very valuable. Benergy Enhanced empowers employees and their famlies to manage benefit needs themselves with some of the following essential features:

Plan eligibility -rules and contributions
Benefit Summaries - desiged to focus on important plan provisions
